SSD/HDD

Solid state drives (SSDs) and hard disk drives (HDDs) store the permanent data on a computer, holding onto the data even when the computer is turned off. They can store much more data than the RAM, however it comes at the cost of speed, and how fast that data gets processed.

HDDs contain more storage space than SSDs therefore are ideal for storing things like movies and games. They are also much more cost-efficient and better at keeping up backups of data.

SDDs on the other hand are somewhat like a combination of HDDs and RAM. Although they store less storage space and are more costly, they provide faster boot times and overall performance.
